This wine has focused floral and savory notes with bright acidity backed by red currant and raspberry fruit. The texture of this luscious wine reveals aspects of the vineyard that makes for a complex, compelling wine.  The Merlot, while dominant in the blend, is complimented by the Cabernet Franc’s basis of wood and fruit skin.

The Red Blend pairs with hearty stews, red meat, and grain based dishes.

"I loved the 2018 Red Blend from Robin Pollard, and this might be the finest wine I've tasted from this vineyard. A blend of 40% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Franc and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, it has a pretty, perfumed bouquet of red and blue fruits, leafy tobacco, cedarwood and spring flowers. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, balanced, elegant red with polished, fine-grained tannins, wonderful purity, and a great finish. All about finesse and elegance, it will evolve for 10-15 years if well stored. 95 points" Jeb Dunnuck

"The 2018 Red Wine is a total pleasure on the nose, leading off with a burst of crushed blueberries, peppery herbs and rosy florals. This soothes with its soft, pliant textures, as a contrasting blend of saline minerals and ripe wild berry fruits swirls throughout. The 2018 keeps the energy high. The mouth waters for more as violet inner florals and hints of licorice fade. This is almost too easy to like. It's beautifully balanced. 93 pts" Eric Guido, Oct 2023.

"The 2018 Red Wine from Pollard, a blend of 40% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Franc and 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, wafts up with a perfumed mix of violet and lavender giving way to sweet black cherries. It's round and supple on the palate, with vivid blackberry and peppery inner herbal tones energized by brisk acidity. This tapers off slowly, leaving a floral staining of primary concentration while remaining perfectly fresh and framed by silky tannins. The 2018 is a total pleasure to taste with the energy of the vintage and a gorgeous fruit profile. 93 pts" Eric Guido Oct 2022
